People-pleasing no more

In psychology, highly sensitive individuals are often referred to as "orchid people". Just like the flower, these individuals possess a beautiful but highly sensitive nature. Because they absorb their environment's emotions so deeply, they frequently default to people-pleasing to keep the peace and protect themselves from external stress. This piece is about overcoming this people-pleasing nature. Orchids will not thrive if they are over-watered or placed in direct sunlight; they require specific boundaries to survive. I made this cat skull to remind yourself to set these boundaries and do what makes YOU feel good. Thank you for sharing your growth with me Daisy !

This piece is one of the thirty (30) pieces I created for the growth collection. This collection focuses on growth, represented by florals. It’s about learning from failures, adapting & embracing challenges. 

For the first time ever, this collection is a collaboration between my patrons, followers, and me. In May 2026, I asked anyone interested to share with me an ability, value, purpose or mindset that they were working on or recently acquired, demonstrating their personal growth and healing. I was absolutely grateful from all the responses I got and the inspiration came overflowing. Based on personal growth and healing, I think we collectively changed.

Personal growth is wonderful, collective growth is magical and I believe in sharing our journeys and uplifting each other.
