Soft & Strong

This piece is about possessing soft strenght, realizing that there is absolute beauty in being both soft and strong. It took a while for me to figure out how to best represent this wonderful ability and then, one day, it hit me. An ostrich skull. The duality of softness and strength is deeply embedded in the bird’s physical biology. Indeed, when it comes to softness, the ostrich is globally recognized for its incredibly soft, fluffy plumes. Historically prized in fashion and theater, these delicate feathers are so light they barely interlock, floating gracefully with every movement. But beneath this soft exterior lies an incredibly formidable creature, full of strenght. Ostriches are the fastest birds on land (running up to 72 km/h)and possess massive, muscular legs capable of delivering a kick strong enough to kill lions and other large predators. This majesctic bird represents best this duality being softness and strenght. Thank you tgates02 for reminding us the power of softness and strenght and sharing your growth with us.

This piece is one of the thirty (30) pieces I created for the growth collection. This collection focuses on growth, represented by florals. It’s about learning from failures, adapting & embracing challenges. 

For the first time ever, this collection is a collaboration between my patrons, followers, and me. In May 2026, I asked anyone interested to share with me an ability, value, purpose or mindset that they were working on or recently acquired, demonstrating their personal growth and healing. I was absolutely grateful from all the responses I got and the inspiration came overflowing. Based on personal growth and healing, I think we collectively changed.

Personal growth is wonderful, collective growth is magical and I believe in sharing our journeys and uplifting each other.
